Public Safety Update/Summary of
Incidents/March 26-April
1, 2012
March 26; 8:00 pm: Public Safety staff assisted members of the Phoenix Police Department during their investigative follow up on an assault, possibly involving students, which occurred off campus.
March 26; 8:00 pm: Public Safety staff assisted members of the Phoenix Police Department during their investigative follow up on an assault, possibly involving students, which occurred off campus.
March 27; 7:30 am-6:00 pm: Safety Officers
responded to a
late report of criminal damage in the north lot to a vehicle
windshield.
March 29; 8:00 am- 3:00 pm; Campus Officers
responded to a
possible theft in the Learning Center .
It was later determined
that no crime occurred.
March 31; 11:30 am-12:43 pm: Safety Officers
responded to a
theft and return for cash of the book in the bookstore. The
incident was on
CCTV surveillance. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail
by the Phoenix
Police Department.
Other Activities
There were three requests for medical
assistance during this
period. No patients were transported from the college by
ambulance.
There were no reports of motor vehicle
accidents during this
time period.
Reminder: District Policy 2.10.9 Parking
and Traffic
Regulations states:
A. Bicycle parking is
restricted to the racks
provided.
B. A bicycle parked on a
sidewalk or at an
entrance to or in a building, or secured to a tree, light
pole, sign post, or
any other unauthorized area shall be subject to impoundment.
Safety
staff
requests that all bike riders be aware of the acceptable bike
rack parking locations.
NOTE:
Faculty members are encouraged to share the
safety updates
with their students.
