GET YOUR STUDENT GMAIL NOW!

We are pleased to announce that we are making a new Google-powered email system available to all Maricopa Community College students. This system provides you with an official address where you can receive important communications from the college including messages regarding financial aid and enrollment.

You should sign up and start using your new email account immediately at http://www.maricopa.edu/google/. Students are responsible for communications sent to this email address and all messages delivered to their student message center. Official messages from Phoenix College will be sent via the new student e-mail accounts as direct communication or as a message alert notifying the student that they have a new message waiting in their student message center.

If you are a new student, you must first sign up for a Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID) at which time you will automatically be given a corresponding address in the new email system. The student email address will begin with your MEID (example: [MEID]@Maricopa.edu) and will use your existing password. For students who would like to continue to use their current e-mail address to receive messages, there is a convenient tool that will allow you to forward your student email to your ‘preferred’ email address.

The new system will also provide you with a number of significant benefits, including: useful collaboration tools such as Google Docs, an online suite of office productivity applications featuring word processing, spreadsheets and presentations; a lifetime email address; a reliable, secure email service with a powerful anti-spam service; access to calendaring, tasks and scheduling features; an easy way to forward email to other personal email accounts; Instant Messaging with voice and video; and access to Phoenix College News for the most up-to-date information about what is going on at the college.

For more information regarding how to use GoogleApps@Maricopa visit my.Maricopa.edu or visit the Phoenix College Computer Commons for a listing of mini training sessions being offered this semester.
