Public Safety Update/Summary of Incidents/July 9 – July 15, 2012
July 9; 4:22 pm: A staff member, working in the Library called to report the theft of her
cell phone from her desk top. She was gone less than 5 minutes.
July 10; 11:50 pm: Public Safety documented a burglary of a construction site near the
Mechanics Plant. A padlock was cut from the fenced construction area and an industrial
generator and assorted tools were removed. The incident was captured on CCTV. The
Phoenix Police Department was also contacted.
July 12; 11:40am to 12:45 pm: A visitor at the LC stored her electronic devices in the
supplied lockers outside testing. When she returned to collect her property she observed
the locker door partially open and her cell phone missing. Her calculator was still in the
locker. No signs of forced entry to the lock or locker were observed.
Other Activities
No medical reports were reported during this week.
One delayed report of a minor motor vehicle accident with no injuries occurring in the
north parking lot was documented.
Breatheeasy: A reminder that the District policy on tobacco products on campus
is in effect now. Please visit the District website for information. The Public Safety
Department appreciates your cooperation regarding this new policy.
Safety: Safety on our PC Campus is all of our concern and responsibility as involved
community partners. If you see activity that appears suspicious and/or destructive, call
Public Safety to report it: give the location, type of activity and descriptions of those
involved if possible. The Safety Office phone is staffed 24/7. The number is 602-285-
7254.
