Public Safety Update/Summary of Incidents/Jan 21 – Jan 27, 2013
Jan 22; 9:00 am: Public Safety responded to a fight call in front of the Library. One of the articipants was contacted by safety. The second subject had left the area. The incident was documented.
Jan 22; 3:30 pm: Public Safety was notified of a possible fraudulent scheme involving an attempt to obtain instructor course material in Behavioral Sciences. The investigation is continuing.
Jan 23; 4:00 pm: Public Safety documented the theft of an I-pad from an office in the “A” building during the previous weekend. The investigation is continuing. Jan 24; 11:40 am: Public Safety documented the theft of an unattended wallet from the
Testing Center Lobby. No further information is available at this time.
Other:
One medical incident was reported during this period that did not require medical transport. No motor vehicle accidents were reported during this period.
Reminder: Public Safety asks that everyone be vigilant as we start a new semester. Be helpful and call Safety if you observe suspicious activity or we can help in some way.
Breatheeasy: A reminder that the District policy on tobacco products on campus has been in effect since July 2012. Please visit the District website for information. The Public Safety Department appreciates your cooperation regarding this policy.
Safety: Safety on our PC Campus is all of our concern and responsibility as involved
community partners. If you see activity that appears suspicious and/or destructive, call
Public Safety to report it: give the location, type of activity and descriptions of those
involved if possible. They may be committing a crime or just need assistance that we can
help with. The Safety Office phone is staffed 24/7. The number is 602-285-7254.
NOTE: Faculty members are encouraged to share the safety updates with their students.
